INTRODUCTION
Engineers Without Borders – KNUST (EWB – KNUST) is an internationally recognized student-led humanitarian engineering group that works with disadvantaged communities in Ghana to improve the quality of life through practical, environmentally safe, and sustainable solutions.
Since its establishment in 2019, the chapter has focused on real problems affecting rural communities, especially the Ullo area of the Upper West Region. Most projects are carried out in collaboration with EWB Iowa State University (ISU) and other organizations, such as the International Water Management Institute, and local authorities.
INITIATIVES
EWB-KNUST, together with EWB-ISU, has led several major projects. Over the years, the chapter has picked up long-term and short-term projects and set up sub-teams within the organization to tackle the projects from different angles simultaneously.
Completed Projects
Some projects the organization has tackled in the past include;
