OVERVIEW

TechWorld is a student-led technology and engineering club committed to bridging the gap between classroom theory and real-world application. The club provides members with hands-on exposure to engineering systems, electronics, programming, web technologies, and emerging digital tools. TechWorld operates with a strong build-first culture, encouraging students to learn by doing, experimenting, and solving real problems through practical projects.

INITIATIVES & ACTIVITIES

The club focuses on high-impact technical growth through:

• Hands-on Workshops: Practical sessions on electronics and digital tools.

• Collaborative Project Builds: Team-based design and implementation of functional engineering systems.

• Technical Training: Skill-building in programming and web development.

• Internal Showcases: Opportunities for members to present their innovations to peers.

STRUCTURE & MEMBERSHIP

TechWorld is led by an executive team responsible for strategic direction, technical execution, and outreach. Membership is open to all students regardless of skill level.

• Onboarding: New members are integrated via interest sessions and team-based learning.

• Goal: To foster technical confidence and prepare members for internships and global competitions.

IMPACT

TechWorld empowers students with practical problem-solving abilities and real project experience, helping them grow beyond theory to become confident builders and innovators in the modern tech landscape.

EXECUTIVE TEAM

President

Provides overall leadership and direction for TechWorld KNUST. Oversees strategy, ensures all executives are aligned, represents the club officially, and is accountable for the club’s growth, impact, and sustainability.

Vice President

Supports the President in execution and coordination. Oversees internal operations, ensures projects and events are progressing as planned, and steps in for the President when necessary.

Finance Director

Manages all financial matters of the club. Prepares budgets, tracks income and expenses, ensures financial transparency, and supports fundraising and sponsorship activities.

Marketing Director

Handles branding, publicity, and communication. Promotes TechWorld activities, manages social media and outreach, and ensures consistent visibility of the club across campus and online platforms.

Engineering Director

Leads all technical and hands-on activities. Designs project roadmaps, coordinates technical teams, oversees workshops, and ensures members gain practical engineering and technology skills.

Web Developers

Build and maintain TechWorld’s digital platforms, including the website and web tools. Ensure online resources are functional, up-to-date, and support the club’s programs, registrations, and public presence.
